Nars Pierre Hardy Collection

Brace Yourself , a shoe and makeup collaboration! What more could a girl want eh? The famous shoe designer Pierre Hardy recently teamed up with Nars to create a new collection of six nail polishe duos and two blushes which have all been inspired by his new shoe collection.

What Space Nk webiste states:

Inspired by his 2013 high-fashion shoe collection, Pierre Hardy infuses his ultra modern colour palette into limited edition nail polish pairs, presented in the spirit of his signature shoebox packaging.

These two complementary shades selected by Hardy may be worn together or separately -- hands, toes, anything goes. Sets includes two nail polishes and Pierre Hardy for NARS signature mini-shoebox and dust bag.

Key Features:
  • Incredible luster and prolonged gloss retention
  • Long-wearing, durable chip-resistant finish
  • UV protection to prevent polish discolouration.
  • Toluene, formaldehyde and DBP free.

  • After lusting over the collection online my boyfriend bought me one of the nail polish duos for my birthday which I was extremely happy about. This is the one he picked..

    Nail Polish duo in Sharpelines

    Sharpelines Swatches

I love both of these shades so much. They have not been individually named just 'left' and 'right' to keep in line with the shoe theme. The polish on the left is a deep purple/burgundy colour and the other is a pale peach creme which I think are the perfect colours for autumn time, they complement each other so well and are perfect for a bit of mix and matching or one shade on the toes and other on your fingernails. The formula of these nail polishes are amazing, they are super pigmented and you could easily get away with one coat or two thin coats! So far I have also not experienced any chipping with these, even when washing my hair as this usually results in chipped polish everytime for me!

The packaging of these nail polishes are so cute. The duo comes in a little shoe box as shown above with a little dust bag, just like you would when you buy a pair of shoes!

These nail polishes retail for £22 and I recommend that you check out some of the other shades Here

Let me know what you think of the new collection and thanks for reading :)

    Trip to Madrid...

So on the 29th May 2013, my boyfriend moved to Madrid in Spain as part of his placement year for uni. One of the advantages of this is the fact that I will be frequently making trips over to visit him and as Madrid is one of my favourite cities in the world I am very happy about this :) After 8 long weeks of being apart I finally went to visit on the 16th of July. I spent nearly two weeks there and I had an amazing time, getting to see how well he had settled in to the Spanish way of life and meeting all of his new friends.

I thought I would share with you all (probably no-one as this is my first blog post) some pictures from my trip which are all mainly Conor's good photography ;)

Plaza Mayor which is the famous main square in the city
Most evenings we went to the local bar called 'Montaditos'  which does  this huge jug of beer for €1.  They also do really good hotdogs and chips!

Strawberry Daquiri and Strawberry Caprioski that Conor and I had on a little  Rooftop Terrace.

At the weekend we got the train 30 minutes south of Madrid to a place called Toledo.

Toledo was really pretty and there were lots of nice litle cobbled streets with shops and restaurants..

The rest of my trip was spent shopping, going out for dinners and going out with conors friends in the evenings. I made really good friends with his two flatmates (Sarah and Sarah) and I really enjoyed spending time with them and having girly chats.

Overall I had a really good time and I am so sad to be home to Northern Ireland's crappy weather, I am sick of looking at rain already. I would recommend Madrid to anyone, it is one of my favourite places and each time I visit I fall in love with it more and more. I cannot wait for many more trips and I am already planning to go over in September again :D

    Lots of Love
